Willow Tree draws on educational pedagogy and experience within
Waldorf, Montessori, Yoga, and Mindfulness-based curricula.
At Willow Tree, we offer the young child a rhythmic morning:
exploring outdoors, practicing yoga, crafting, and playing.
We also find quiet and calmness within us, breathing, and
listening to stories that will help us to find our space in nature.
Social skills are nurtured, conflicts lovingly resolved,
and positivity emphasized at every magical turn.
Located in a beautiful Ecovillage home
(just two miles from downtown Ithaca),
Willow Tree School offers the comforts of home
within a safe pedestrian neighborhood,
complete with woods, trails, and
ample play-space for children of all ages.
Teacher Courtney Schroeder has been working with children for
nearly fifteen years in a variety of settings,
most recently at our sister school,
LittleLeaf School in West Danby, NY.
She is a loving mama and gentle teacher.
