Each child brought in a bit of fruit or berries that they loved. 

We peeled them, chopped them up and slowly cooked them down.

We added some delicious honey from one of the families own bees!

When we went to Dawes Hill Farm (which we do once a month for

our farm block!!) We picked pears and we cooked them and milled them

into pear butter and canned that too!

In the end, we canned more than two dozen small jars of plum berry preserve

and pear sauce! What a treat we will have this winter!
