We have been so very busy!!
We went to Zephyr's Farm, where we all held a baby lamb.
We played with the chickens.
We hiked around the pond.
We called out to the horses.
So much fun. Thank you Miss Melody for taking us around on the farm.
We didn't take any photos, so our memory will have to serve us.
Then we started our Farm Work Lesson block with building.
We dug and hammered.
We dug holes to hold large wood stumps and hammered wood across to make balance beams.
We did the same for a seesaw.
Miss Lizabeth and Miss Claire came out and moved our swings to a sturdy log across two trees.
We have also been tending to eggs in an incubator and three hatched today!
Meet Roger.
Victorious is still drying and fluffing in the incubator, just three hours old.
This little chick just hatched 20 minutes ago and has yet to be named.
We have over twenty more eggs, we are not counting our chicks until they have hatched!!!
We have also started building our chicken coop. We will finish it up this week.
yes, yes, so busy...
Plus we have been making crowns and practicing dances for MayPole.
We hope your spring is as glorious as ours has been!!

Spring is coming!
Spring is coming!
Birdies build your nest,
Weave together straw and feather,
Doing each your best,
Spring is coming!
Spring is coming!
Flowers are coming too!
Pansies, Lillies, Daffodiliies,
All are pushing through.
Spring is coming!
Spring is coming!
All around is fair.
Shimmer quiver on the river,
Joy is everywhere.
Princess Spring and her lamb.
Rebirth.

We took wool and made designs with different colors.
Then we wet felted them.
Later, we cut them into hearts and sewed them on ribbon for a lovely decoration.

"Blue skies and ice wherever we go,
slipping and sliding deep in the snow.
Uphill and downhill, neither leaf nor green:
the sun bright and clear, no grass to be seen.
Woollies and hoods, on toboggans all day.
Gloves on our hands and Spring far away.
Back home Mama's baking big loaves and small.
How hungry we are - we'll soon eat them all!"
